We’re here to make sure every child in Guilford County enters school safe, healthy and ready to succeed. Using public dollars and private donations, we collaborate with existing programs and create new ones to measurably strengthen families and improve the lives of children.
One of our most fun and exciting programs is Week of the Young Child. The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored & hosted by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers and families. Help us celebrate NAEYC’s Week of the Young Child April 16-21, 2018. Click on the link above for more information. Please also join us for Healthy Kids Day on April 21st at the Hayes-Taylor YMCA. It is a free event and open to the public. We will begin the day at 1:00pm with a family fun run and end the day at 8:00pm with a “Movie on the Lawn”. Come out and enjoy the day with us!
There is a Village! Come find out about the village of organizations and resources that support families of young children in Guilford County! Two upcoming Family Villages in March and April will offer families a chance to play, learn, and have fun while meeting representatives of many organizations that work with families of young children in our community.
