With the 2020-2021 NC Pre-K Application now available on our website we went to the NC Pre-K Director to find out what families need to know about filling out the application.
The 2020-2021 NC Pre-K application season begins on January 6, 2020! Your child must be four years old by August 31, 2020 to be eligible. These are the documents to submit with your child’s application: proof of income, proof of birth, and proof of address. If any of the following apply, you will need to submit documents for these factors too. If your child has a chronic health condition, submit a doctor’s note or a medical record stating the health condition is chronic. If your child has an educational or developmental need, submit their individual education plan, or, an evaluation stating the educational or developmental need, or their current goals for the service they are receiving. If a parent is military, current active duty and serious injury or death resulting from military service you will need to submit military documentation.
NC Pre-K Specialists are available to assist you on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 4pm. Wednesdays and Fridays are drop-off days from 9am to 4pm. On drop-off days, please bring your child’s completed application and copies of all supporting documents. We are not able to make copies on Wednesdays and Fridays. Families may mail in their complete application and copies of the supporting documents to Partnership for Children of Guilford County, 500 W. Friendly Ave., Suite #100, Greensboro, NC 27401.
