Director of Smart Start Investments

The Guilford County Partnership for Children (GCPC) is seeking a Director of Smart Start Investments. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and relationship-builder who is passionate about systems change, accountability, and improving outcomes for children prenatal to age five. The Director of Smart Start Investments is a key leadership position at the Guilford County Partnership for Children. This individual leads the strategic, equitable, and data-driven allocation of over $5 million annually in Smart Start funding to support young children, families, and early childhood educators in Guilford County. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role provides oversight, evaluation, and technical assistance to funded partners while ensuring compliance with state and local requirements. The Director collaborates with community stakeholders, manages funding processes and contracts, monitors program impact, and translates data into actionable insights to strengthen the local early childhood system. 

GCPC offers a competitive benefits package, including employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid leave, 13 holidays, and a 7% retirement contribution. Hiring range for the position is $72,000 – $76,000 annually.
