My favorite childhood book was Tikki Tikki Tembo by Arlene Mosel. My cousin was an elementary school librarian and would read this and many stories to us with lots of expression! She would pretend to be out of breath after saying Tikki Tikki Tembo’s full name. I read the story back to her at her memorial and continue to cherish sharing it with my grandchildren.
